PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES

September 7, 2004

The September 7, 2004 meeting of the Town of Peshtigo Planning Commission was called to order by Chairperson Herman Pottratz at 6:30 P.M.

Plan Commission members attending were: Bruno Brysiewicz, Tom Fetterly, Ed Malechuk, Herman Pottratz, Ed Sedor and Karen Sylvester.  Bob Cerrato was excused.  Also attending was several town residents.

Approval of the August 12, 2004 meeting minutes was tabled as Commission members had not received them.  Sylvester will forward the minutes to the Town Clerk for dissemination.

There was no public input.

Patrick Harding provided the Plan Commission members with a Conditional Use request for his property on US Highway 41.  The request, which was previously approved for a specific time period, is being made to allow the mobile home currently existing on the property to remain there until such time as the property is sold.  The business property has been for sale for sometime.  Motion was made by Sedor with a second by Malechuk to allow the Conditional use for the current owner, Harding, only.  Motion carried.

A discussion was held regarding the Brunette property on Shore Drive.  This property has two residences on one parcel.  It was decided that all such situations should be addressed by the Commission.  Sylvester will contact the Town Assessor, Ron Walters, and ask him to prepare a listing of all parcels with two or more residences.  The information will be provided to the Commission and a letter developed addressing the issue.

Barbara Kakuk presented preliminary information on her request to place another home on her 6.88 acre parcel of land.  The current home on the property would be used for her upholstery business.  There is also a separate garage on this parcel.. Commission members discussed the options available and asked Kakuk to return to the next meeting with a site plan and the completed Conditional Use Form.

The Zoning map was then worked on.

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at 6:30 p.m.

Motion to adjourn by Brysiewicz, second by Fetterly.  Carried.  Meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M.

Respectfully submitted,

Karen M. Sylvester
