BURNING PERMIT

Marinette County is one of nine counties that the DNR is conducting a trial on the feasibility of a call-in and web-based system for the use of burning permits.  Burning permits are now issued on an annual basis and cover both brush piles and burning barrels.  Once a permit is obtained, you MUST call 1-888-947-2876 or access the web site dnr.wi.gov/forestry/fire to find out if burning is allowed that day.  Messages for the current day's burning restrictions will be updated at 9:00 am daily.
