Discuss Budget for Fiscal Year 2007:   Vilas Schroeder, Town Treasurer reviewed the budget documents he had prepared and distributed to the Board.  A discussion was held regarding category totals for the 2007 budget.

At 11:50 a.m. Sylvester left the workshop.

Town Security:  At 12:10 p.m. Eric Burmeister, Emergency Government Director for Marinette County arrived.  The Board discontinued it budget discussion to review security measures.  Burmeister stated the policies and procedures of the Town should be reviewed to be sure they meet the demands of today.  For instance, if a tornado or fire destroys the Town Hall, how does the Town plan to continue operations?  Do we have back-up records?  Our plans should show how we plan to continue to provide service to the residents of the Town in an emergency, especially if the building and its records are destroyed.

As regards personal security for staff, Burmeister suggested using of panic alarms over locks and security cameras.  Burmeister felt Terry Zimmerman, Marinette County Communications Director could assist us regarding the use of these panic buttons.

Sedor asked if there were other places we could store the tax records we are mandated to maintain by State law.

Burmeister stated he could come back to give us direction on policies and procedures as needed.

Sylvester returned to the workshop at 12:40 p.m.
