October 12, 2006 – Budget Workshop

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.

Those present were Chairperson Ed Sedor, Supervisors Don Pazynski, Patrick Ravet, Dan Staudenmaier, and Karen Sylvester.

Also present was Town Treasurer Vilas Schroeder, Oren Ninnemann, Bryan Peth, Rose Peth, and Herman Pottratz.

Motion was made by Sylvester and seconded by Pazynski to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried with all in favor.

There will be a Joint Fire Commission meeting with the Town Supervisors at 6:00 p.m. on October 17, 2006 before the regular Town meeting.

The Open House for the Fire Department on Saturday, October 7^th went very well.

The Board with the assistance of the Town Treasurer went through each line item shown on the preliminary budget and made adjustments as needed. The budget will be presented to Town residents at the Town Meeting to be held at 6:30 p.m. on November 21, 2006.

Discussion took place regarding which roads needed repairs as soon as possible and which roads could wait.

New contracts and salaries were discussed for the Clerk, Treasurer, Assessor, and Building Inspector. These should be in place before the November meeting. Town Constable should also submit a budget. A stipend for Supervisors attending committee meetings was discussed.

Other subjects included additional voting machines, parking lot seal coating, and new windows and air conditioning units for the NWTC side of the building.

Recycling center budget should be fine since we rotate tire disposal for one year and then TV disposal the next.

Having the Code of Ordinances entered on computer will cost approximately $1,000.

Motion to adjourn at 8:40 p.m. by Ravet and seconded by Sylvester. Motion carried with all in favor.
