November 30, 2005 - Special Town Board Meeting.

 

The meeting was called to order at 10:10 a.m. by Chairperson Ed Sedor.  Those present were Chairperson Ed Sedor, Supervisors Don Pazynski, Patrick Ravet, Dan Staudenmaier and Karen Sylvester.  Also attending was Attorney Alan Harvey of Community Code Service, Town Treasurer Vilas Schroeder and Town resident, Herman Pottratz.

 

Motion was made by Ravet, second by Pazynski to approve the agenda as presented.  Motion carried with five yes votes.

 

Announcements.

1.  Received notification from the City of Marinette regarding annexation of the Schuh property on CTH T/Roosevelt Road.

2.  The next Town Board meeting is scheduled for December 20, 2005.

Designate Surplus Town Funds to Accounts

Treasurer, Vilas Schroeder stated the Town currently has $124,433 dollars in undesignated funds.  He explained the money should be placed in one of the designated accounts.  Motion was made by Sedor, to place the funds into the Capital Outlay, Machinery and Equipment account.  Second by Pazynski.  Motion carried with five yes votes.

 

2006 Budget Error

Treasurer Schroeder further informed the Board the 2006 budget contains an error which must be corrected.  He explained that our levy was based on an amended amount and needs to be based on the original levy as adopted.   For that reason the proposed levy amount is in error and must be lowered from $209,485 to $209,166. Also dealt with were the special assessment funds coming in for improvements to Steven Lane, East Steven Lane and Rustic Oak Lane were not taken into account at the time the 2006 budget was approved. 

 

Review of Code of Ordinances

The Town Board along with Attorney Alan Harvey continued to work on the Code.

 

Staudenmaier and Ravet departed the meeting after 12:00 p.m. 

 

Motion to adjourn at 1:45 p.m. by Pazynski, second by Sedor.  Motion carried with three yes votes.
