Approximately 14 town residents, Treasurer Vilas Schroeder, Constable Oren Ninnemann, Peshtigo Times and Eagle Herald reporters were present.

Public Hearings: Public hearing on rezone request for property owned by Richard Peterson. After listening to comments a motion was made by Don Pazynski to close the public hearing. Second by Pat Ravet. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Public hearing was held on Ordinance # 04-03 Adult Entertainment – Nude Dancing. After listening to comments a motion was made by Don Pazynski to close the public hearing. Second by Pat Ravet. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Public hearing was held on Ordinance #04-04 Adult Entertainment Taverns – Licenses. After listening to comments a motion was made by Pat Ravet to close the public hearing. Second by Don Pazynski. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Public Hearing on Ordinance # 04-05 Board of Fire Commissioners. After listening to comments a motion was made by Don Pazynski to close the public hearing. Second by Dan Staudenmaier. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Motion by Don Pazynski to close the public hearing portion of the meeting. Second by Karen Sylvester. Motion carried.

Town Board Recessed until 7:00 p.m.

Town Board meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m.

Agenda Approval: Motion by Karen Sylvester to approve the agenda as published. Second by Pat Ravet. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Minute Approval: Motion by Dan Staudenmaier to approve the minutes of the July 20, 04, July 24, 04 Board minutes and the July 22, 04 Board of Review minutes as published. Second by Don Pazynski. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Treasurers Report: Motion by Karen Sylvester to approve the treasurer’s report. Second by Pat Ravet. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Payment of Vouchers: Motion by Karen Sylvester to approve voucher numbers 12499 through 12567. Second by

Pat Ravet. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Public Input: There was no public input.

Representative John Gard was present and discussed with the Town residents and Town Board matters of concern and what is happening in Madison.

Richard Peterson Zoning Change: Motion by Dan Staudenmaier to approve the zoning change for Richard Peterson property from AG-1 to AG-2. Second by Don Pazynski. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Adult Entertainment – Nude Dancing Ordinance: Motion by Dan Staudenmaier to change the wording in the ordinance from bar and tavern to establishments and approve the ordinance with those corrections. Town clerk to check with Town Attorney to see if this fits in the ordinance. If it is not approved with the attorney then to approve the ordinance as published. Second by Karen Sylvester. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Adult Entertainment Taverns – Licenses Ordinance: Motion by Pat Ravet to approve the ordinance as published. Second by Dan Staudenmaier. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Fire Commission Ordinance: Motion by Dan Staudenmaier to table until the September Board meeting. Second by Pat Ravet. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Line Fence with Gary Lynwood: Clerk will check information with WTA and report to Board and Lynwood.

Contract with Marinette County for Collection of Taxes: Motion by Karen Sylvester to approve the contract with the County. Second by Dan Staudenmaier. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Duplicate Tax Refund: Motion by Don Pazynski to refund the duplicate tax paid by Stock Lumber in the amount of $357.65.Second by Pat Ravet. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Operator License: Motion by Don Pazynski to approve the license as submitted for August. Second by Dan Staudenmaier. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Road Grading: Motion by Karen Sylvester to authorize Don Pazynski to spend up to $7000.00 for road grading and gravel after receiving quotes for the work. Second by Pat Ravet. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Appoint Fire Commission Members: No action was taken because the Ordinance was tabled until the September meeting.

Refund for Road Blacktop: Motion by Don Pazynski to refund the unspent portion of the escrow account for blacktop in the Polzin subdivision. Second by Karen Sylvester. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Hire Person for Town: Motion by Pat Ravet to authorize Karen Sylvester and Dan Staudenmaier to hire a person to be backup worker for Kenny Johnston for Town Hall and Recycle Center. Second by Dan Staudenmaier. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Authorize Bids for Rader Road Project: Motion by Karen Sylvester to authorize advertisement for bids for the Rader Road project when specifications are received from the County Highway Commission. Second by Pat Ravet. Motion carried with 5 yes votes.

Department head and committee reports were given.
