February 17, 2004 Town Board Meeting called to order at 6:33 P.M.

Public Hearing on Pond and Swimming Pool Ordinance:  The Town Board listened to comments from residents and making a couple minor changes to the ordinances and there being no further comments and questions a motion was made by Karen Sylvester to close the public hearing. Motion was seconded by Pat Ravet. Motion carried.

 

Town Board meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m. with 17 persons present in the audience.                                         

 

Agenda Approval: The agenda was amended as follows: add minutes of December 2, 03 and January 29, 04 for approval. Item #9 was removed from the agenda. Motion by Karen Sylvester to approve the agenda as amended. Second by Pat Ravet. Motion carried.

 

Motion by Karen Sylvester to approve the minutes of January 20, 04 December 2, 03 and Jan 29, 04 board meetings. Second by Pat Ravet. Motion carried.

 

Motion by Dan Staudenmaier to accept the treasurer’s report as presented. Second by Karen Sylvester. Motion carried.

 

Motion by Pat Ravet to approve payment of vouchers #12141 through #12205. Second by Karen Sylvester. Motion carried.

 

Public Input: Pat Ravet stated that the newspaper article relating to the board selling equipment was not correct. Neither Pat Ravet or Karen Sylvester were on the board at the time the equipment was sold.

 

Snow plowing bids: Open two bids and a motion was made by Karen Sylvester to table till the March meeting for action. Second by Dan Staudenmaier. Motion carried.

 

Rader Road Ditch Project: Motion by Pat Ravet to bid out the project and have bids back for opening at the April Board meeting. Second by Dan Staudenmaier. Motion carried. The Board has to make a decision which project we are going with (put up a guard rail or a culvert).

 

Swimming Pool Ordinance: Motion by Pat Ravet to change the setback requirement to read: No swimming pool shall be located, constructed or maintained closer to any side or rear lot line closer than 25 feet. Second by Karen Sylvester. Motion carried.

 

Pond Ordinance: Motion by Karen Sylvester to change #3 requirements: 83 feet from the centerline of a public or private road should be 100 feet. A $100.00 fee for the permit for a pond was also added. Second by Dan Staudenmaier. Motion carried.

 

Cindy Hagert was introduced as the Town part time office worker. Welcome aboard Cindy.

 

Building Inspector: Motion by Pat Ravet to notify the Department of Commerce that we are in compliance with the new building code enforcement procedures with our building inspector. Second by Karen Sylvester. Motion carried.

 

Audit for 2003 records: Motion by Karen Sylvester to bid for audit of 2003 town books. Second by Pat Ravet. Bids to be back for the March meeting. Motion carried.

 

Dumpster for Town Hall and Fire Station: Motion by Dan Staudenmaier to place a dumpster at the Town Hall for use of the Fire department and Town hall. Second by Karen Sylvester. Motion carried.

 

Engine 205 Repairs: Motion by Pat Ravet to seek bids for repair of Engine 205. Second by Karen Sylvester. Motion carried.

 

Liquor License for Scooters/John Bayer: Motion by Pat Ravet to not take action due to the fact that Jim Bertrand did not want to surrender the current license. Second by Karen Sylvester. Motion carried.

 

Motion to adjourn by Pat Ravet. Second by Dan Staudenmaier. Motion carried.
