All Town Board members present. Approximately 15 town
residents, Oren N and the Peshtigo Times and EagleHearld reporters were
present.
Agenda Approval:
The agenda was amended as follows: Add minute approval for Dec 29, 03 and Jan
15, 04 minutes, problems with snowmobiles on town roads under number 9 and add
Ron Walters (assessor) phone number (789 2415) under item number 13. Motion by Karen Sylvester to approve the agenda as amended.

to approve the minutes of December 16, 03, December 29, 03 and Jan 15, 04
minutes. Second by Dan Staudenmaier. Motion carried.

to pay vouchers #12063 through #12140 and do not pay a bill to Marinette County

Board of
Appeals: Motion by Pat Ravet to approve the Chairperson nomination of
Ralph Spitzmacher, Cheryln Hanneman and Gerald Pennings (alternate) to three
(3) year terms on the Board of Appeals. Second by Don
Pazynski. Motion carried.
Costs for
Generator Installation: Motion by Dan Staudenmaier to approve $2580.00
additional charges for installing the stand by generator. Second by Don Pazynski. Motion carried.
Town Equipment
Repair: Motion by Pat Ravet to approve Resolution 04-1 Town Equipment
Repair Authorization. Second by Don Pazynski.

Operator License
Refund: Motion by Dan
Staudenmaier to refund $20.00 to John Bayer for an operator license. Second by
Pat Ravet. Motion carried.
Water Problem by
new Jail: Motion by Pat Ravet to send a letter to Marinette County
reference the drainage problem created with the building of the new county
jail. Ask the county to correct the problem at their expense and authorize them
to contact private property owners for permission to clean the ditch behind the
jail for proper drainage. Second by Karen Sylvester.
Motion carried.
Liquor License
for Scooters: Jim Bertrand withdrew his request to have the license
transferred.
Financial data
on Town crew layoff: Karen Sylvester
presented cost comparison data reference the layoff and made a motion to hold a
Town Board meeting on Monday January 26, 04 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the matter. Second by Pat Ravet.
Motion carried.
Newsletter for
Town Residents: Motion by Karen Sylvester
to prepare a newsletter for town residents to be ready for handout at the April 6, 2004 elections.
Second by Pat Ravet. Motion carried.
Tax Changes for
2004: Residents of the Town were
again reminded to call Ron Walters (assessor) regarding the parcels they own
that have Forest, Agricultural, Swamp and
unproductive land as the assessment procedures have been changed on that type
of property.
Budget
Adjustments for 2003): Motion by Karen
Sylvester to designate surplus of &45,747.23 from Fire
Department budget to Fire Department savings. Second by Pat Ravet. Motion
carried.
Motion by Pat Ravet to designate surplus of $69,489.04
from Road Maintenance to Contingency Acct. Second by Karen
Sylvester. Motion carried.
Motion by Dan Staudenmaier to approve the budget
amendments as presented for the 2003 budget (see attached sheet). Second by Don Pazynski. Motion carried.
Additional Town Depository: Motion to approve
resolution 04-2 Town Depository by Don Pazynski.
Second by Pat Ravet. Motion carried with 4 yes votes and as abstention by Karen Sylvester.
Town Directional
Signs: Motion by Dan Staudenmaier to purchase all necessary signs for
the Town to direct traffic in the correct direction and help persons and
emergency personnel find residents. Second by Don
Pazynski. Motion carried.
Sign on Flame Road:
Motion by Don Pazynski to send a
letter to the property owners to remove their signs from the Town right of way
prior the May 1, 2004.
Second by Dan Staudenmaier. Motion carried.
Draw Names for
Ballot Placement: For supervisor number 3 Karen
Sylvester was drawn for 1st on ballot and Caroline
Lea second. For Supervisor number 4 Richard Seils was drawn for first on ballot
with Pat Ravet to be second. This is for the April 2004 election.
Contract with
ES&S for Voting Machine: Motion by Don
Pazynski to renew the contract with ES&S for maintenance
on the voting machine. Second by Dan Staudenmaier. Motion carried.
Operator
License: Motion by Karen Sylvester to approve operator license for
Rebecca Allard, Angela McAuliffe, Kelli Hemminger and Jamie Wingers. Second by
Pat Ravet. Motion carried.
